"I've always believed the right books find you at just the right moments, both as a reader and as an author, and I will never get over this wonder."
I totally agree with Rebecca. I don't read fantasy books, so I'm happy I gave this book a chance. This book really found me. After reading this one, I ight actually give other fantasy novels a go.
Divine Rivals is amazing! The book captivated me primarily due to its historical fantasy genre. I lost myself in the characters' stories right away. The letters left me feeling the most impressed. I couldn't wait for the letters to read over and over again as I turned the pages of the book, feeling like Iris or Roman. I tought about my grandfather's typewriter as I was reading as well. He also had one, and I wish I would know where it is now. I still recall how I wrote on it as a little girl.
The book ended on an absolute cliffhanger, and I can't wait to read the second one when it comes out in a few days.
A fantastic book with numerous lessons (quotes) written in a beautiful style. I had scenes and conversations running through my head as I read, giving the impression that I was watching a movie. It was easier for me to imagine the scene because there weren't too many details provided.
I suggest you to read it!
Thank you for reading my blog post and have a nice festive December!
