This is Emily's first book, and it's about Mizuki, a woman who is unhappy with her life, particularly because her husband ignores her the majority of the time and only serves to make her depressed. She meets another man and immediately falls in love with him, but her love for children and her guilt keep her awake at night.

It's a fantastic book that potrays the roles that women have in Japan. Mizuki feels on one hand as a housewife to her husband and on the other, as a woman for indulging a man she just met.
