Helloouuu, my lovely people!
July came to a close with an incredible book. I knew I had to read this book when I saw it in the library. You know how it feels when you pick up a book and instantly connect with it? Yeah, that's exactly what I'm referring to.
I gave this book five stars because I was never bored while reading it. I was surprised because I had completely different assumptions about Sarah and Eddie while reading. I prefer books that surprise me rather than those in which I know exactly what will happen next. That's how good Rosie Walsh's writing was. It broke my heart to hear such a sad story. While reading the last few pages, my chest felt heavy. It's one of those books that will stay with me forever, and I'm sure I'll be talking about it for a long time and recommending it to everyone.
CHARACTERS
Eddie was someone I really liked. I read a lot of the books and didn't care for the male characters. They were all similar, but Eddie surprised me in this book. Sarah and her friend Tommy were also appealing to me. Her friend Jo reminded me of Catharina, a character in my own book.
Eddie's mother was the only character I didn't like. Whatever happened in the past (I admit, I understand her and her pain), BUT STILL, I was irritated when I read her parts. Too negative characters usually irritate me haha:D
THE PLOT
The plot itself was O-U-T O-F T-H-I-S W-O-R-L-D. My brain is still attempting to process everything. A lot was happening, and each chapter surprised me more, but that's exactly what I want from a book.
That's all, guys. I can't say anything else because you need to read a book.
I don't want to spoil anything.
Thanks for reading and see you in my next post!
