While I generally enjoy short stories, I have had mixed feelings about this book. Many of the stories were too dark for my taste, and the author spent an excessive amount of time describing each detail, which made the narrative tedious at times. Additionally, the use of metaphors often made the stories difficult to understand.

However, despite these issues, I found some of the stories quite enjoyable, particularly those that explored the experiences of Black women in various situations. Although it is not a five-star book, it was still an enjoyable read overall.
